After bringing home gold last season, the Dallas Christian Lady Chargers are so close to another title that they can taste it. In a win-or-go-home situation, the Lady Chargers will face Lake Country Christian with the hopes of making their second-straight appearance in the TAPPS Finals. VYPE DFW dives into the team and what can be expected:

This Season

The team quickly got to work this season, focusing on each moment at a time. Throughout practices and game days whether their athletes were on the court or off the court, the Lady Chargers were consistent in doing the right thing, playing smart, lifting each other up, and remaining focused. Dedicated to having a strong IQ for the game, Maddie Perkins previously told VYPE that the team studies the game every single day. "We take notes and constantly talk about what to do, who is guarding who, and what their weaknesses are so we can learn how to benefit off of that," Perkins said.

What To Expect

Focused on continuing to be the best in their area, the Lady Chargers used the preseason play to sharpen their skills against tougher opponents. Through district, the team went undefeated and finished first in their standings. Now, entering the TAPPS State Semifinals with an 11 game win-streak and a 20-8 overall record, the Lady Chargers are looking to do whatever it takes to cap their season with more victories.

So far this season, the team has outscored their opponents by a combined 474 points on the court. Playing physical, fast, and alert, fans can expect the Lady Chargers to use the momentum they have been building all season long to power themselves to a strong game against Lake Country Christian. With dedication to the game and a willingness to put in the hard work that it takes to succeed, the Lady Chargers are sure to keep the fans entertained while playing a great game on Thursday.
