It has been an awesome start to the 2019-2020 season for the Cy Ranch Lady Mustangs.
Cy Ranch is off to a 5-0 start, including winning their opening game of the McDonald's Invitational on Thursday with a 65-24 victory over Alief Hastings.
During this stretch, the play of Shadiya Thomas has been solid.
Looking back at the two games prior to Cy Ranch starting the McDonald's Invitational, Thomas put up some big numbers in wins against Foster and Atascocita both in victories for the Mustangs.
Against Foster, Thomas finished with 15 points, four rebounds, two assists and two steals. Facing Atascocita, which has made the regional tournament each of the last two years, Thomas scored 14 points, grabbed seven rebounds and dished out seven assists.
Over a two-game span, 29 points, 11 rebounds and nine assists isn't a bad run for any player.
Thomas will definitely be a player to watch for the Mustangs the rest of this weekend down in Pasadena at the McDonald's Invitational and also the rest of the year.
