Back on the Rise: Argyle Lady Eagles Volleyball

In the 2019-2020 season, the Argyle Lady Eagles finished at the top of their district standings. Since then, the team has been working to get back to that point. With great years of building and still showcasing impressive talent on the court, the Lady Eagles are on the rise this season having outscored their opponents by a combined 81-26 in sets. VYPE DFW takes a look at Argyle's season so far and what fans can expect as they prepare to close out their regular season:

So Far

Opening their season on a four-game win streak, the Argyle Lady Eagles secured sweeps over Wylie East, The Colong, South Oak Cliff, and Arlington Grace Prep. Despite a handful of tough losses in non-district play, the team showcased talent against the likes of Prosper Rock Hill, Frisco Liberty, Weatherford, Fort Worth Boswell, Flower Mound, and more.

Led by incredible talent like Katherine Holtman, Jordyn Moore, Camryn Heiser, Harper Hurley, Piper Mickenheim, Shaye Feely, Makaylee Ruiz, and more, the team has been powerful through district play. With eight sweeps in 10 games, the Lady Eagles have dominated the court against Lake Dallas, Birdville, Denton Ryan, Denton, Richland, and more. After posting a district loss against Colleyville Heritage on Tuesday, October 10, the team is on the hunt for more victories before they close out regular season play.

What's Ahead

The Lady Eagles are set to host Birdville on Friday, October 13 for their second pairing this season-- their first ending in an Argyle 3-0 sweep over Birdville. From there, the team travels to face Denton Ryan, returns home for a matchup against Grapevine, and finishes their district schedule on the road against Denton.

This squad is determined to showcase what they're made of. With a focus on the court that is nearly unmatchable and the drive to succeed, the Lady Eagles are a force to be reckoned with this season. Fans can expect a strong playoff push from this team. Be sure you catch the Lady Eagles in action before regular season ends.
