Argyle Eagles Baseball (30-3-1, 12-0) - Regional Semifinals

Argyle Athletics

After a deep playoff run last year ending in a heartbreaking loss to Stephenville, the Eagles are back at it this season- proving that hard work on and off the field pays off. This season, Argyle posted an undefeated district record with victories over the likes of Decatur, Lake Worth, Krum, Springtown, Brock, and more. With a strong defense backed by a powerful offense taking each opponent by storm, the Eagles have been nearly unstoppable.

In playoffs, Argyle has taken down Fort Worth Western Hills (13-0), Graham (13-2, 3-2) and Springtown (2-0, 6-3) while outscoring the teams by a combined 37-7. During game one of their series against Canyon on Wednesday, May 25, JC Davis dropped a beautiful single just beyond the second-baseman's reach to drive in Conor Lillis for Argyle's go-ahead and eventual game-winning score.

Fans can expect more big, timely plays from the Eagles as they close out the Regional Semifinals and look to advance to the next round- one step closer to state!

Game two of the series will be played on Thursday, May 26th at 11 a.m. at Abilene Christian University. If a game three is necessary, it will immediately follow game two.

Argyle Lady Eagles Softball (28-9-1, 12-0)- Regional Finals

Argyle Athletics

Last season the Argyle Lady Eagles fell in playoffs to Iowa Park. This season, it's a rematch as they go head-to-head to get to the next round. After last season's tough exit from playoffs, the Lady Eagles went undefeated in district play with big wins over Fort Worth Castleberry, Bridgeport, Decatur, Lake Work, Krum, and more!

So far in playoffs, the Lady Eagles have ended the seasons of Fort Worth Eastern Hills (14-1), Lampasas (13-0), Springtown (22-3), and Canyon (5-1, 13-11) with smart fielding paired with timely batting. During game one of their rematch series against Iowa Park on Wednesday, May 25, Argyle fell short 4-2.

Fans can expect the Lady Eagles to fight hard in game two in order to force the if-necessary. With the drive to succeed and athletes who take charge, the Lady Eagles have what it takes to turn the series around and push forward.

Game two is set to begin at 7 p.m. on Thursday, May 26 at Arlington Bowie High School. Game three, if necessary, will be on Saturday at the same venue with a 3 p.m. start time.
