The most compelling clash ahead may come in District 5-6A, where Denton Guyer (6–2) and Lewisville (7–1) square off with the district title likely hanging in the balance. The stakes don’t get much higher.
In 5A, the usual suspects continue to dominate their respective brackets. South Oak Cliff and Aledo rolled to commanding wins, maintaining their grip as frontrunners, while Frisco Lone Star, Denton Ryan, and Argyle remain close behind — each showcasing steady, disciplined play down the stretch.
Meanwhile, Highland Park, Melissa, and North Forney stay in the mix, with the Falcons’ upcoming test against Longview carrying serious playoff weight.
With only a handful of games left, separation is scarce and every possession feels heavier. For teams sitting on the brink — whether unbeaten or unproven — the difference between dominance and disappointment may come down to a single Friday night drive.
