After great storylines coming out of the first week back for Texas High School Football last week, Week 2 has been highly anticipated. Fans can expect great competition this weekend throughout the state, but here we have some of the top games featuring Dallas-Fort Worth teams that you're going to want to keep your eyes on!

Rockwall-Heath Hawks
Denton Guyer continues to gain traction in 5-6A, quietly putting together an unbeaten district mark, while Lewisville and Prosper also remain unblemished and poised for deeper runs. North Crowley, too, continues to impress with its balance and explosiveness.
Perhaps the weekend’s most dramatic moment came in 10-6A, where Rockwall-Heath emerged from a 56–55 offensive showcase against North Forney — a game that featured fireworks from start to finish and ultimately handed the Falcons their first loss of the season. The Hawks’ resilience in that shootout reasserts their spot among the region’s top 6A contenders.
Among 5A programs, Aledo and South Oak Cliff once again appear a cut above, but Melissa has forced its way back into the Top-20 following a decisive victory over Lovejoy, extending its district win-streak to four.
Several key clashes now loom that could further reshape the regional structure heading into late October.

Aledo’s narrow 15-14 win over Denton Ryan proved especially meaningful, tightening its grip on the 3-5A Division I title race while dealing a blow to one of its top challengers.
In 5A, South Oak Cliff maintained momentum with a shutout victory, while Highland Park and Argyle continue trending upward following high-scoring wins. Meanwhile, Celina remains a model of consistency in 4A, showing no signs of slowing down.
Friday night brings one of the most anticipated matchups of the season, as Duncanville and DeSoto—both coming off bye weeks—prepare to battle in a clash that could shape the 11-6A playoff picture.
Elsewhere, Denton Guyer looks to be rounding into form after a strong showing against Coppell, while Rockwall’s loss to Longview knocks the Yellowjackets down a few spots.
Other critical risers of note include Cedar Hill and Rockwall-Heath.
