"Ridge, You Better Rock," yelled the Oak Ridge cheerleaders at the Southwest Regionals.
I was able to attend the cheer competiton this past weekend where I watched the Oak Ridge Cheerleaders excute their game day routine for this season. The team tied for first but dropped to third with a minor deduction they received.
I caught up with the Oak Ridge Coach, Mrs. Sarah Ellison, about the prepartion the team partakes in. "This season, we started preparing in August. After our first competition, two weeks ago, we analyzed our score sheets and redesigned our routine in order to maximize our scores," Sarah said.
The team is about to be on their way to the state competition, and the challenges they might face is no problem for the Oak Ridge Cheer Team.
