The 2020 UIL Track & Field season came to a screeching halt, as did the rest of the spring sports slate.
Due to that, some seniors, such as Cypress Lakes' KeAyla Dove have been left in limbo. Dove, a Sam Houston State-signee, was seeking what would have been her fourth-straight trip to the UIL State Track & Field Meet this spring in the shot put.
Last year, Dove finished second and this season had thrown an already Texas-best 49-feet-5-inches. That distance also ranked No. 1 in the nation when track season was halted.
Recently, Dove caught up with VYPE Managing Editor Joshua Koch to talk about the stoppage of the season, what she is continuing to work on and more in this VYPE Senior Spotlight.
