STATE CHAMPS: Trojans Baseball wins it all this season

It was a whirlwind season for the Trinity Christian Academy - Addison baseball program. With incredible fight on the field and the mentality to continue getting the job done, the Trojans baseball program was able to finish as the TAPPS Division I State Champions.

Regular Season

Throughout preseason and regular season play, fans of the Trojans got to see the team play hard against the likes of Fort Worth Christian, Celina, Stephenville, Pottsboro, and more. The team posted incredible victories against district opponents like Bishop Lynch, John Paul II - Plano, Nolan Catholic, Parish Episcopal, and more!

Playoffs and State

Led by seniors Ajay Goluguri, Hayden Heflin, Joshua Liu, Daniel Richardson, John Woods, and Andrew Yates, juniors Jack Behrman, John Brantley, William Brown, sophomores Jameson Dunigan, JoVahn Bernard, and more incredible athletes, the Trojans plowed through their playoff opponents. With an Area-round BYE, TCA was able to regroup and come up with a successful strategy on the road to state.

During regionals and the semifinals, the Trojans ended the seasons of Houston's St. Pius X Catholic School (9-3) as well as Concordia Lutheran High School (4-3) before advancing to the state championship game. At state, TCA faced off against a tough St. Thomas High School out of Houston. Never wavering, the Trojans took gold as they defeated St. Thomas 7-6.

With everything to be proud of, the Trinity Christian Academy - Addison Trojans baseball athletes have the summer to breathe and prepare for the season ahead. Fans can be assured that this strong team of athletes will be back ready to defend their title next spring.
