Inside the Program: Second Baptist School Girls Basketball

HOUSTON - The 2018-2019 season was one to remember for the Second Baptist School girls' basketball program.

The Lady Eagles reached the TAPPS 5A Final Four after going 24-7 overall and 13-0 in district play under first-year coach John Herndon. The Second Baptist School fell short in the state semifinals to San Antonio Christian, 59-45.

Looking towards this season, there is a good chance the Second Baptist School will be back in the TAPPS Final Four and more than likely, playing for the state title.

VYPE Media Managing Editor Joshua Koch sat down with seniors Kaitlyn Kollmorgen, Emily Blackmon - who tore her ACL in the game before the state semis - and Caroline Torn to talk about the upcoming season and the hopes of reaching the Final Four again.
