Repeat on Deck: Frisco Liberty Lady Redhawks

With a state title under their belt last season, the Lady Redhawks are working hard to ensure their ability to get into the playoffs and secure another successful season. VYPE DFW takes a look into what fans can expect from the Frisco Liberty squad this season:

Rewind

Last season the team outscored their opponents by nearly 1,300 points combined on the season as they went 29-10 overall and ended their season with a state title. The team flew through regular season with several moments in non-district play that helped prepare them for a tough district schedule. With their skills sharpened, the team defeated the likes of Midlothian (40-39), Rockwall (34-23), Huntsville (31-28), Sachse (36-27), North Forney (48-32), Palo Suro (39-33), Frisco Heritage (48-27), Frisco Independence (55-26), Frisco Emerson (47-30), and more en route to the playoffs. Once in playoffs, the Lady Redhawks showed zero doubt as they took on opponent after opponent and sent each one home. The team defeated Frisco, Dallas White, Mesquite Poteet, Mt. Pleasant, McKinney North, Wagner, and eventually Lubbock-Cooper to win the state title.

This Season So Far

Led by the likes of Alyssa Nayar, Keyera Roseby, Savannah McKeen, Sonja Mo, Kathryn Murphy, Christina Webb, Mara Casey, Lilian Johnson, Aaliyah Williams, Christal Webb, Maya Junior, and more, the team is returning a lot of phenomenal athletes to the court. With a 10-6 record through non-district play and a 3-0 start to their district schedule, the Lady Redhawks continue to showcase determination through each moment on the court. Defeating Frisco Reedy, Denton Braswell, Midway, DeSoto, Friso Lebanon Trail, and others this season, the team has proved that they are ready to get the job done again this season.
