"On your marks!" -- McKinney ISD schools competed amongst others in the Boyd Stampede on September 11, 2021. Runners came from all areas of the metroplex to include from schools like Prosper, Richardson Berkner, The Colony, Mesquite North, Denton Braswell, Fllower Mound, Allen, Celina, and more. VYPEDFW was there to catch all of the action.
During the race, four Mckinney Lion runners set personal records. Sophomore Sofia Denehy set a 43-second PR ranking her at #15 All-Time at McKinney High School in the 5k. Freshman Russell Nelson set a 21-second PR finishing with a 17:50.9 in the 5K. Junior Nathan Staiger set a PR after dropping nearly a whole minute in the 5K. Junior Jordan Durst set a 1-second PR.

McKinney Boyd, McKinney North, and Mckinney High are all looking strong this cross country season.
