The Eagles are an easy choice for the No. 1 spot in the private school rankings. The reigning TAPPS-D2 Champs don’t have any intention of giving up their irrefutable supremacy this Spring. Coach Ryan Noble will start his third year at Second Baptist with the majority of last year’s roster returning to the diamond, most notably, the 2022 TAPPS-D2 Player of the Year Luke Pettitte (Dallas-Baptist). But that is far from where it ends. Junior OF JD Crisp was a fellow first-team, all-state selection, while other stars include senior RHP Ty Baker (Texas A&M-signee) and junior RHP/UTL Turner Murdock. With an air-tight bullpen and bats aplenty, the Eagles are the clear favorites in TAPPS this season.
