UIL 5A-6A Top 10:

No. 1 San Antonio Wagner: The Thunderbirds won 34 games and advanced to the UIL 5A State Title Game during the 2018-2019 season, and will lean on Journee Phillips, Jasean Jackson and Demarcus Hendricks in their 2019-2020 run at the ultimate prize.

No. 2 San Antonio Brennan: The Bears won 26 games and advanced to the UIL 6A Region IV Area Round during the 2018-2019 season, and will lean on a talented roster that includes Norman Beckford, Jaden Moore, Kyle Castille and Deon Williams in their chase for a deeper postseason appearance in the 2019-2020 campaign.

No. 3 Cibolo Steele: The Knights won 30 games and advanced to the UIL 6A state semifinal during the 2018-2019 season, and have the necessary senior class (Quincey Shepherd, Jackson Byas, Nick Moore and Chris Benson) to add another deep playoff appearance in the 2019-2020 campaign.

No. 4 Helotes O'Connor: The Panthers won 24 games and advanced to the UIL 6A Region IV Area Round during the 2018-2019 season, and will follow the leadership of Adam Benhayoune, Isaac Orozco and Thomas Worrich in their 2019-2020 run at another multi-round playoff appearance.

No. 5 Converse Judson: The Rockets feature an experienced roster that includes Kyonte Holder, Mike Chandler and Amarea Bailey-Davis that helped them win 25 games and advance to the UIL 6A Region IV Bi-District Round during the 2018-2019 season, so they can improve upon those marks in the 2019-2020 campaign.

No. 6 Boerne Champion: The Chargers won 25 games and advanced to the UIL 5A Region IV Bi-District Round during the 2018-2019 season, and the returns of Parker Delay and Hunter Darling can help them top that in the 2019-2020 campaign.

No. 7 San Antonio Harlan: The Hawks made a splash when they won 22 games and advanced to the UIL 5A Region IV Area Round during their 2018-2019 inaugural varsity season, and still have notable players in Zarion Pitre, Elijah Lomas and Ja'Kobe Barkley to add another successful chapter in the 2019-2020 campaign.
