My name is Ashton Schulz, and I am a Junior at Splendora High School. As a volleyball and track athlete myself, I have a strong passion for sports. I also am an avid football lover due to being a proud football coach's daughter. When it comes to being a VypeU Ambassador, I am wanting to gain experience to assist me in further pursuing my future career of being a sports broadcaster. I am excited to get more exposure in front of the camera doing face-to-face interviews with a variety of athletes.
During these uncertain times it is important for athletes to stay prepared and ready. We as athletes cannot control when the next time we step out onto a court or field might be, but we can control how prepared mentally and physically we stay. As an athlete myself, it is helpful to remember these five simple words during this unprecedented time: Control what you can control. What might that be? We can control maintaining positive relationships with teammates, eating healthy, and staying in shape for the next opportunity you have to plant your feet on that court or field. Check out this video of Splendora athletes participating in their at-home workouts!
