Episcopal win SPC football
SPC WEEKEND: Episcopal, Trinity Valley Lead SPC Championships
The Southwest Preparatory Conference held its Fall Championships and the Episcopal Knights carried the weekend.
The Knights took the Class 4A football title with a win over Kinkaid, 35-25. QB Karson Gordon led the way. He led of the game with a 75-yard dash on the opening series. He had three rushing TDs on the game.
In Class 3A, Houston Christian lost a heart-breaker, 30-27, to Trinity Valley School Warriors in double-overtime. The ‘Stangs made their first Championship appearance in school history.
The cross country Class 4A meet was won by the boys and girls of Episcopal in overwhelming fashion, while the St. Stephen’s Spartans won both the boys and girls meets in Class 3A.
In volleyball, Hockaday won the Class 4A title over Episcopal and Trinity Valley beat Houston Christian to take the 3A Title. Episcopal boys won the SPC Title.
St. John’s and Trinity Valley girls won their respective field hockey championships.
