Torie and Trevyn Turner of Summer Creek
SIBLING SYNERGY: Summer Creek's Torie and Trevyn Turner a DI Duo
At Summer Creek High School, the Turner name carries some weight.
Torie and Trevyn Turner may have different personalities, but they share the same competitive fire — and an unbreakable bond. Torie is the life of the party.
Her voice can be heard from the parking lot, her laugh is infectious, and her presence is undeniable. A dynamic force in the circle, she’s the Bulldogs’ ace with power at the plate to match. The junior is committed to University of Maryland, where she’ll continue her softball career on the big stage.
Her brother Trevyn brings a different vibe. Laser-focused on his future and grounded in his faith, the 6-foot-3 right-handed pitcher lights up the radar gun in the 90s. He’s committed to Texas State University, poised to take his power arm to the next level.
While their personalities contrast — Torie’s big energy and Trevyn’s calm intensity — their connection is constant.
They push each other. Support each other. Protect each other. Different styles. Same last name. Same loyalty.
Meet Torie and Trevyn Turner — a brother-sister duo proving that talent runs in the family, but so does love.

LOW-KEY LETHAL: The Bowers tenure begins as No. 11 Summer Creek reloads
No. 11 -- Summer Creek Bulldogs
Legendary Ragin’ Cajuns catcher Lana Bowers takes the reins of the Bulldogs, aiming to capitalize on the program’s status as a perennial challenger in Houston. Summer Creek shared the District 23-6A title with Kingwood last season, finishing 25-6, but ran into a tough postseason draw and fell in the opening round to eventual 6A Division I State Finalist Clear Springs.
But don’t sleep on SCHS — they have talent to spare and should be more motivated than ever.
Pitching duties will likely continue to be split between the one-two punch of juniors Torie Turner (Maryland commit) and Alyssa Flores (Trinity Valley), both first-team all-district selections who are equally dangerous at the plate.

Meanwhile, shortstop Elaina Bonuelos (South Carolina Upstate) and catcher Olivia Maciel (Trinity Valley) — both first-teamers — will look to cap off their senior seasons on a high note, while second-team infielder Bella Melchor should build on a spring in which she led the team with 28 RBIs and eight home runs.
