PROTECT THE NEST: Regionals may not be the ceiling as No. 15 Foster ascends

No. 15 -- Foster Falcons
Following a 22-8-1 finish in their 2025 debut in the state’s highest UIL classification, the Falcons approach the new season with championship aspirations.
Last spring, Foster captured the District 20-6A crown in undefeated fashion before defeating Tompkins and Memorial to reach the Regional Semifinals. While they were narrowly eliminated by Clear Creek, the run signaled that head coach Keely McGuire and the Falcons are an immediate 6A powerhouse.
Senior 3B Emerson Lechler remains the program’s greatest asset; the Baylor signee is coming off a monstrous performance that saw her bat for .625 with 12 home runs. While Lechler powers the offense, the pitching staff will pay significant dividends.

The rotation features District Pitcher of the Year Lizzy Yeager (Miami-OH commit) and Houston-bound junior Julia Kaspar, forming an elite defensive spine. Rounding out the lineup are first-team seniors Hailey Westmoreland (Blinn) and Julie Jacoby, along with second-team honorees Ariyana Hernandez and Scout Welker. Together with standout Sienna Shotts and catcher Avery Jones, they comprise one of the deepest rosters in Texas.
Having reached the state level twice since the school's inception in 2001, this group possesses the comprehensive balance necessary to once again etch their names into the history books.
