Plano East Volleyball has entered the chat
The Plano East Lady Panthers volleyball team has been working hard this season to showcase the talent they have on the court. As they have worked through their schedule with several statement victories, the team has proven to be resilient with a high game IQ. VYPE DFW takes a look at their season as they inch toward the end of their schedule:
Non-District
Beginning their season with four sweeps over non-district opponents like Dallas Wilson, Carthage, Mesquite Horn, and Frisco Emerson set the tone for this Plano West squad. With confidence and poise, the team continued to power over their non-district opponents while making huge victories over Frisco Lone Star, Sachse, Argyle Liberty Christian, Lake Highlands, Frisco Memorial, and more. Finishing their non-district schedule with an 18-9 record set the team up with the right amount of confidence necessary to head into a tough district schedule.
District Play
Led by the likes of Lauryn Lambert, Simone Heard, Ashby Daniel, Megan Nguyen, Grace McDonald, Emma Reeves, Raegan Brown, Lucy Dieterlen, and more, the Lady Panthers entered district play with back-to-back sweeps over Plano and Hebron. Despite two district losses, Plano East has outscored their district opponents 28-9 in sets. Seven out of 12 matchups have ended in a Plano East Sweep.
Sitting at the second place spot in their district-- just behind Flower Mound (who is also 10-2 in district play)-- Plano East has only two games left in the regular season: a Friday matchup against Lewisville and a 10/24 matchup against Flower Mound Marcus. Looking to close out the regular season with a bang, the Lady Panthers can be expected to play hard on the court and dominate the rest of their games.
Be sure you catch these ladies in action before the season is over!
