HUFFMAN WHO? Surprise No. 12 Falcons prepped for big encore
YEAR ONE OF THE SHELBEE RAVLIN-ERA AT HUFFMAN WAS A MEMORABLE ONE.
The Falcons went 33-14 overall and reached the UIL State Tournament for the first time in program history.
So, what’s the encore?
Five starters return off that State Semifinalist squad. First-team, all-district selections Carli Briese and Addison Shannon are back. Shannon was also selected to the Class 4A State All-Tournament Team. Addison Litt, Aubrey Espree and Tess Taylor were all second-team, all-district picks.
Keys to success for the second-year head coach include “communication and team bonding”, according to Ravlin. Watch out for the Falcons again in 2023.
