VYPE ATX Preseason Public School Running Back of the Year Fan Poll

It's the final week of TAPPS and there are three more weeks of UIL picks to be made. Last week was a 25-9 performance that keeps me away from that 75 percent season threshold.

I'm currently 357-123 on the year (.744) with 18 total games this week. Below are the 14 remaining picks after picking Aledo to edge past Ennis in a touch 5A Regional Final showdown; Denton Ryan torching Colleyville Heritage; Denton Guyer avoiding the upset from Amarillo Tascosa; and Rockwall getting to state with a tough win over Prosper.

We are on to next one - UIL Regional Semifinals (Regional Finals for 1A) and TAPPS State Semifinals. After this week, there will be three weeks left of the Texas high school football season and then we'll get to barge right into the middle of high school basketball.

On to round two as the UIL Area and TAPPS Regional rounds open up, there are 61 games to pick through, which includes the five deep-dive previews highlighting Argyle over Stephenville again; Aledo over Royse City; Denton Guyer beating Cedar Hill again; Duncanville topping Flower Mound; Red Oak avenging its only loss of the year to Braswell.

Through 385 games this year, I am close to my 75% prediction clip thanks to an 82-19 (.812) pick 'em record last week. To be at 75% or better after this week, I have to go 47-14, which seems feasible but playoffs are an interesting beast to predict.
