The Fort Bend Clements Rangers' season opener vs. Lamar Consolidated will be live on VYPE Sports Radio at vypefortbend.com Thursday night, starting with the Countdown to Kickoff Show at 6:45 p.m. Roger Smith and James Kowalewski will bring you the call of the game, which is an opportunity for Head Coach Bobby Darnell's Rangers to win their second straight game after beating Kempner to close out the 2018 season. It was their first district victory in the Darnell Era.

The Mustangs broke through in 2018, which was Rick LaFavers' fourth season as head coach and his first winning campaign. Lamar Consolidated was 7-4 and lost to the Marshall Mavericks from East Texas in the first round of the playoffs.
