A Look Back
Lovejoy is known for having a top-tier volleyball program. Last season, the team posted yet another championship season as they closed out the 2021-22 season with a 3-0 shut-out state title victory over Grapevine. Dropping only 26 sets all season, Lovejoy posted a 42-6 overall record (13-1 in district).
Looking Ahead
Big names have graduated out of Lovejoy's program, but the team has proven that they are capable of shaping the future from an early start. Not only will the incoming freshman class be more than prepared after summer workouts, but the Leopards are returning the likes of Hannah Gonzalez- who can be expected to be a tremendous leader on the court for Lovejoy.
What To Expect
With amazing athletes graduating, this season isn't going to be a cakewalk for Lovejoy, but if anyone doubts the Leopards, they just might regret it. Lovejoy can be expected to use this season to build up their underclassmen during preseason play. Then, on into district, fans can expect the Leopards to have established a strong enough routine to power them through to playoffs.
