After making history a year ago, by the reaching the State Tournament for the first time in program history, Bridgeland softball has been on a mission to repeat that effort ever since.
Now, the Bears (33-5) have returned to Regionals and are that much closer to achieving that goal.
Despite the departure of last year's "big-three" -- Haylie Stum (East Texas Baptist), Trinity Allen (McLennan), and Lilli Piersons (McLennan) -- the Cy-Fair ISD team has seemingly reloaded.
They now feature the talents of Sydney Jackson (Syracuse-signee), Chayne Allen (ULL), Chesley Swisher (Texas Lutheran), Rylie Marquart (McLennan), Madysen Taylor, Addy Gibbons, Dani Lopez (Blinn), and AB Bvunzawabaya, just to name a few.
VYPE's Matthew Ogle caught up with head coach Candi Weige, as she and the Bears prepare to take on Midland this week, in the Regional Semis.
