13. Lake Creek Lions (5A)
The Lake Creek Lions roared to the Regional Semifinals in 2025, finishing 20-14-1 overall and as District 17-5A co-Champions. Jeremy Schramm enters his seventh season of leading Lake Creek (146 career coaching wins), and returns eight starters to the dugout, including reigning District 17-5A Newcomer of the Year Kaleb Foster.
All-State pitcher Caden Whitworth (National Park College-commit), Army-commit Reed Newkirk and first-team, all-district pick Jaxon Schramm are also set to return. Other key returners include Luke Logeman (LSU Eunice-commit; honorable mention, all-district)), Peyton Trummell (LSU Eunice-commit; second-team, all-district), Gavin Nabors (Angelina College-commit), Colin Wiederhold (LeTourneau University-commit), Jackson Marshall (UNC Asheville-commit), Aiden Leitz (Ranger College-commit) and Harper Heathcock.
The key to success for Schramm’s Lions will rely on the senior leadership as this team will play by the team motto “Compete” in 2026.

Fresh off a Regional Finals appearance in 2025, Pearland coach David Rogers (7th year, 174 wins) feels like he has one of the deepest teams with exceptional speed and top end pitching.
Pearland went 29-9 a year ago and returns five starters to the dugout including P/OF Hayden Mireles (Panola JC-commit), P/C Brady Brewer (Bossier Parish JC-commit) and P Grant Shepherd (Wharton-commit).
Other players to watch include Mitchell Araujo, Ashton Arredondo, Michael Cepeda, Hunter Golden and Camdyn Pickett.
Lamar Texans are always dangerous
15. Lamar Texans (6A)
Lamar went 22-11-1 overall a year ago and reached the Regional Semifinals. David Munoz has 260 career coaching wins entering this season.
The reigning District Champions bring back Texas-commit and District 18-6A MVP Lawson Behan, who stars at shortstop and on the mound.
Co-Offensive MVP Alex Bard is back at second base. Centerfielder Kyle Behan is coming off an 18-6A Newcomer of the Year performance Other key returners include first-team, all-district picks Kalino LeHaun (utility) and Body Bromley (LHP).
