The victory not only secured the program’s first championship in 20 years—and just the second in school history—but did so in head coach Michael Oros’ second season directing his alma mater. Following a dominant 39-4 campaign, Kingwood still boasts a roster armed with frontline talent—and one fully intent on competing well into June.

State Tournament MVP Graham Charboneau (Sr. OF), a recent Baylor signee, returns after hitting just shy of .400 in 2025, a season that also earned him District 23-6A MVP honors.
The Mustangs’ bullpen may once again be their greatest strength, anchored by 23-6A Co-Pitcher of the Year Will Fiedler (Sam Houston State signee), junior Texas commit Ryder Renfro, and junior left-hander Brock Hill, a second-team all-district selection. Together, the trio gives Kingwood an enviable range of options on the mound.
Meanwhile, senior utility man Evan Morris and junior shortstop Cody Sawyer add further depth to a comprehensive lineup now focused on chasing another ring.
