THE POWER RANKINGS: Minor movement in this week’s area volleyball rankings
Polls are largely subjective, as much an art as a science, especially early in the season. So, we were pretty pleased to see that our first stab at a Top 10 this season held up pretty well.
Those Top 10 teams went a combined 13-5 – with two ranked teams playing each other -- in last week’s action. Yes, top-ranked Dripping Springs lost their only match of the week 3-2, but it was an apples-to-oranges matchup against a powerful private Cornerstone Christian team. Austin High swept Buda Johnson to leapfrog the Lady Jaguars.
Cedar Park is on the rise after knocking off Georgetown in a district play.
