With second’s remaining, St. Michael’s Bo Ogden hit a 10-foot jumper which rolled around the rim to win the TAPPS Class 6A State Championship, 50-48, over Parish Episcopal. 
Coach Cooper Land would breathe a sigh of relief as his team mobbed Land under the basketball.

        THE CHAMPS: Second Baptist School Lands a TAPPS state title

The Second Baptist School took gold at the 2025 TAPPS Basketball State Championships. The Class 5A Eagles knocked off Grace Prep 65-47 in the Finals.
Coach Taylor Land set the bar high, winning the title in his first season. VYPE’s Matt Malatesta caught up with Land after letting their State Title sink in.
