THE LAYUP LINE: No. 15 Stratford embracing the test of District and beyond
No. 15 -- STRATFORD SPARTANS
After a season full of milestones, Stratford enters 2025–26 riding momentum from a 21-10 overall record and a 12-2 district mark, including a landmark win over Memorial — a program they hadn’t beaten in a decade.
From there, the Spartans advanced past Heights 47-40 in the Bi-District round before their playoff run ended in the Area Round against Fulshear.
Now in her third year as head coach, Audrisa Harrison (40-24) brings back a healthy mix of juniors and sophomores ready to take the reins this season.

At the center is 17-6A Co-MVP Tess Stephenson, who averaged 17 points and 5 rebounds per game as a sophomore and earned TGCA All-State and TABC All-Region honors. Harrison notes Stephenson’s ability to score at all levels, paired with court vision and two-way impact, makes her the team’s cornerstone.
Other returning players include Riley O’Connor (Jr. G) and Ava Gibson (So. G), both honorable mention all-district selections. Watch also for Camille Warren, whose relentless motor can shift momentum, and Sophia Prejean, a versatile post/stretch player with high upside.
By all measures, the team’s motto — “Accept the Challenge” —perfectly embodies Stratford’s approach this winter.
