Katy Tigers
The Katy Tigers finished second place in a tough District 19-6A with the likes of Cinco Ranch and Seven Lakes. The Tigers reached the Regional Quarters before falling to Cy-Fair, 3-1. This could be the year that the Tigers get back to the Regional Semis and beyond for the first time in over a decade. The QB1 for Katy volleyball is Maddie Waak, who was the District Setter MVP in 2019. She has committed to LSU to play her college ball. She will be setting up second-teamer Hannah Hoover (Navy-commit), who also doubles as a libero, and middle blocker Jordan Gamble. The 6-foot-2 star was a first-team selection and could have a breakout season as a junior as she builds her resume as a national recruit. Also adding some offense will be Perris Key, who earned honorable mention accolades as a junior. Key is committed to UT-Rio Grande Valley.
