Price’s recruiting process started early picking up his first two offers in the 8th grade, and carried into his freshman year at Seven Lakes. He has become a rising national recruit in the Class of 2026 holding 11 offers from Auburn, Texas A&M, LSU, ASU and Alabama to name a few .
So what’s it been like picking up offers at such a young age?
“It’s been good,” Price said. “I’m trying to stay humbled through everything... to keep my head down and keep working. Even though it’s early, the coaches see it in me so I just have to keep working and prove them right.”
The rising sophomore has some big-time programs going after him and some in state staffs are starting to build strong relationships with Price.
“I like SMU, they were really nice. It's a great campus and a great staff," he said. "They treated me like family when I was there. Texas A&M was good and I had a lot of fun there on my visit.”
“Texas… I like Texas a lot,” Price said. “I hope they come around soon, I’ve been talking with them a lot.”
Price also mentioned he’s been talking heavily Texas Tech and Vanderbilt lately and hopes they come around with an offer soon.
So, what has the rising star been working on for the upcoming season?
“Personally, I worked a lot this offseason on fine-tuning my game, making sure everything is up to par and at the level it needs to be,” he said. “I really just am trying to be an all-around player, impacting the game other than scoring.”
The Spartans and Price have a State-or-Bust mentality this year and with the season almost here, watch out for them coming out of Region III.
“We are going to State, that’s are mentality we want out there," he said.
