BRONCO UP: Dayton gets state-caliber coach in Prieto
Jerry Prieto led Crosby to the State Semis in 2021 before heading to Lake Worth High School. However, with the departure of Dayton coach Blake Ware to his alma mater MacArthur, the timing was right for Prieto to return to east Houston and take over the Broncos' program.
VYPE's Matt Malatesta caught up with Coach Prieto upon his arrival to Dayton.

In the third round of the playoffs, Crosby won a shootout against A&M Consolidated to advance to the state quarterfinals 56-53. The Cougars are lead by head coach Jerry Prieto. Coach Prieto gets the nod for Coach of the Week.
