PLAY BALL: No. 1 Episcopal has become a dynasty
No. 1 Episcopal Knights
Episcopal softball is a dynasty.
That’s the simplest way to describe a program that has won six-straight Southwest Preparatory Conference Championships and captured eight of the last nine crowns.
With eight starters returning for Caitlyn Cain in 2024, the Knights should be the heavy favorite to win it all again.
Florida-commit Townsen Thomas and New Mexico-commit Allie Williams will anchor this squad. Williams hit .520 with 11 homers a year ago.
Other notable stars returning include Jordan Bey (3.18 ERA, 85 Ks in 118.2 IP), Gianna Lewis (.405, 4 HR, 1.1144 OPS) and Elliot Loper (.391).
The motto for Episcopal is numerical for 2024 as Cain’s squad will live by “7-22”, a seventh-straight SPC title and 22nd overall in program history on the line this season.

BREAKING: Moynahan Named Head Football Coach At Episcopal
The EHS athletic pillar is thrilled to announce that Jimmy Moynahan has been tabbed to lead the football program. Moynahan, who has served as the Knights defensive coordinator the past three seasons, was selected from a pool of outstanding candidates from across the country.
Coach Moynahan brings a wealth of coaching experience to this new position, and, just as important, has a strong track record of success at EHS.
Before coming to Episcopal, Moynahan served as head football coach at Western Reserve Academy in Ohio. In addition to his football coaching duties, Moynahan taught Latin, served as a head dorm parent, and assisted the basketball and lacrosse teams.
Moynahan, a Boston native, graduated from Washington and Lee University in 2016 where he earned an A.B. in Classics and American History. In addition to his academic pursuits, Moynahan was a four-year letter winner for the Generals on the gridiron.
In addition to his head coaching duties, Moynahan will continue to teach Latin and chair the Honor Council.
