Last season, the Lady Bobcats finished at the top of their district with a 10-1-1 district record. The team posted big wins over the likes of V.R. This year, the Lady Bobcats are looking to go even further, but first they must take down their district opponents.
The Lady Bobcats will open district against a strong Southlake Carroll squad on Tuesday. Despite tough losses to Ursuline, Grapevine, Coppell, and Flower Mound during preseason play, fans shouldn't lose hope in Byron Nelson. The team has proven that they are ready to take on anything that comes in their way. When the Lady Bobcats are down, they aren't down for long. Led by strong athletes, fans can continue to expect an offense with an attacking mentality who will keep the pressure on their opponents defense. The defense can also be expected to rise to the occasion and put in the work through district play in order to make a deeper playoff run.

The team has already posted some great wins as they get their schedule started and VYPE DFW is ready to tell you exactly what you should be looking forward to from the team:
The Bobcats are coming off of a great season last year in which the team earned the title of Area Champions before falling in the fourth round of playoffs to a strong El Paso Eastlake squad. With a 10-4-2 overall record, Byron Nelson soccer definitely had fire in their hearts coming into the new season looking to put an even better season under their belts.
So far this season, the team has posted a 3-2 overall record. After initially opening their schedule with a loss to Georgetown's East View, the Bobcats went on to defeat the likes of Austin Westlake and Austin Akins. Byron Nelson even posted an incredible 5-1 victory over Dallas Sunset.

With the likes of South Grand Prairie, Southlake Carroll, Keller, Keller Central, and more ahead- it's safe to say that their schedule isn't necessarily a cake walk. However, the Bobcats can be expected to look like seasoned athletes on the field as they take on all of their opponents this season.
