VYPE Coaches Corner: Barbers Hill Girls Basketball Coach Bryan Harris
With the Winter season right around the corner, the second series of our campus-coordinated media days has officially commenced.
Recently, our team traveled to Barbers Hill High School for their 2024 Winter Media Day.
VYPE caught up with Barbers Hill GBB Coach Bryan Harris, as he and the Eagles look to repeat their Regional Finals appearance and more.
Check out the interview below!
No. 5 Barbers Hill Eagles are "Hard to Handle"
The Eagles reached the Region III-5A Semifinals a year ago, but ultimately fell short to Pflugerville Hendrickson, who went on to fall in the final against Fulshear a day later.
Barbers Hill finished 34-6 overall and went perfect in district play.
Three starters return off that team, including Cynthia LeCompte (10 ppg, 5 rpg), Autumn LeCompte (7 ppg, 4 rpg) and Rachel Glynn (5 ppg, 5 rpg). Kynlee Kejonen (5 ppg, 6 rpg)also returns.
Bryan Harris enters his fifth year leading this program and his 22nd as a head coach with 615 career coaching victories.
Barbers Hill should be a squad to watch in 2024 as their motto is “Handle Hard Better”.
