VYPE U Behind The Lens: A Look Into the UIL State Track & Field Meet

The UIL State Track & Field Meet was hosted at The University of Texas' Mike A. Myers Stadium, in Austin, Texas. The 3-day event was filled with talent from athletes all across Texas. Here is a look into the action from 2A, 5A, and 6A.

Gavin Hecke of Prosper Rock Hill places fourth in the 5A boys' pole vault with a final jump of 14-9.00.

Alexis Tilford-Rutherford of George Ranch becomes the first girl athlete to double medal in field events in George Ranch History. Tilford-Rutherford not only placed third in the 6A girls' long jump, but she also placed second in the triple jump.

Jayden Keys of Katy Tompkins places third in the 6A boys' long jump with his best jump at 23-11.25.

Ashton Torns of Westlake wins the 6A State title in the boys' long jump with a final jump of 24-1.25.
