Coming out of the box hot this preseason, the New Braunfels Canyon Boys Soccer team looks to make a big impression. With a drop-down from 6A to 5A, the team should be able to perform well and make a deep run in the playoffs.
Teamed up in 5A District 26 with teams like Seguin, Boerne Champion and Alamo Heights, the Cougars have already proven to be ready to compete. Having scored 10 goals already in the preseason in just three games, that is something we can expect from the Cougars this year.
With some top returners this year like first team all district senior, Luke Suarez-Pella, Second Team All district members, Owen Feagler and Peyton Foytik and honorable mention all district Zeke Antampi. Likewise, last year's Goalkeeper MVP went to the Cougar's returner Jio Lopez.
