America’s Navy to serve as the Official Title Partner of the All-American Bowl NBC and Peacock to Present the 2025 Navy All American Bowl on Saturday, January 11, 2025, at 1 p.m. ET Live from the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas
NBC Sports and America’s Navy today announced a new title partnership for the All-American Bowl. As the title partner, America’s Navy will reach high schools within communities across the country through a nationwide jersey presentation tour while growing a close association with the honor and prestige that comes with the selection process, Road to the Dome tour, and Bowl Week of the Navy All-American Bowl.
“This is a tremendous opportunity for us to connect with young men and women who share the values of teamwork, leadership, and dedication that are at the core of both football and military service,” said Rear Adm. James P. Waters III, Commander, Navy Recruiting Command. “These athletes have worked hard to earn their place, and we’re proud to stand with them as they take the field. We look forward to supporting these young leaders while highlighting the possibilities that lie ahead with America’s Navy.”
“We’re honored to partner with America’s Navy as the Official Title Partner of the All-American Bowl,” said Gary Quinn, Vice President, Programming & General Manager, Owned Properties, NBC Sports. “This year marks the 25th anniversary of the All-American Bowl and together with America’s Navy we will continue to grow the event and highlight the next generation of stars.”
The nationwide Road to the Dome tour, will honor all 100 All-Americans with live and virtual jersey presentations. The series will be released weekly through social platforms across NBC Sports.
Only 100 football players receive the honor of wearing the Navy All-American Bowl jersey each year. The 2025 Navy All-American Bowl will take place at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas, will be presented live on NBC and Peacock at 1:00 PM ET, and will feature the nation’s top 100 high school football players.
As an NBC Sports-owned property, the All-American Bowl is part of a marquee lineup of elite events that includes the Olympics and Paralympics, the Premier League, and primetime’s #1 show for an unprecedented 13 consecutive years: Sunday Night Football. The All-American Bowl is annually the most-watched, most-talked about, and most prestigious high school all-star event with more than four million unique television viewers and more than 25,000 fans in attendance. The history and tradition of the All-American Bowl is unparalleled, as it features: 594 draft picks; 93 Super Bowl champions; 247 Pro Bowl selections; and 18 Heisman finalists. Terri Wade and The Woodlands (31-8) have some great volleyball in front of them.
The Highlanders are locked in with a postseason spot, as usual, with an 11-2 district record and are peaking at the right time.
Great players have come and gone through the program, but this group is special.
Do they have a run in them to State?
“We started off strong this season and I think some people overlooked us,” coach Terri Wade said. “We were a little banged up but still played well through a tough pre-district schedule. We are all healthy now, and playing complementary volleyball.”
With three district games remaining and a warm-up against Ridge Point, The Woodlands will be dangerous come the playoffs. It will be bittersweet as the season winds down, because six seniors will say goodbye to the green and gold.
Senior Ella Lewis has been one of the all-timers to come through the program and is headed to Arizona State to play college ball.
“She’s just an elite all-around player and you don’t get those come around that often,” Wade said. “Her volleyball IQ really sets her apart. She’s a great passer too. She can hit with power and with so many different tempos. She can hit any shot, anywhere on the court.”
Twin sister, Abby, is the second leading scorer and will play beach volleyball at Southern Miss. Also a senior, is leading libero Cameron McDaniel, but Wade credits her middles to sparking the offense.
“Sasha (Bespaly) and Liz (Kath) have really come on lately,” Wade said. “They spread out our offense and have made a huge impact on the season. Cameron has been a beast on the back row, too.”
With senior experience and a “go-to” shot-maker, the Highlanders are back to their old tricks… that’s bad for their Region II opponents come November.
Over the course of this past week of contests, there hasn't been too much significant movement in terms of the squads falling within the H-Town Top-10, aside from Grand Oaks and Cinco Ranch receiving a slight bump upwards.
Stratford still reigns supreme, while others such as Cy Ranch, Pearland, The Woodlands, Bridgeland, Ridge Point, and Dawson continue to thrive.
It will be interesting to see who can take silver in District 19-6A (behind the aforementioned Cinco Ranch), as both Tompkins and Seven Lakes are among the most notable clubs in the Bayou City.
Barbers Hill moves up one after Lake Creek dropped a close one to A&M Consolidated, but the Lions are still going to be a team to fear in the imminent postseason.
West Fork and Montgomery are also ones to consider within Class 5A.
In the private school sector, we're making a big statement by moving Concordia Lutheran up to the No. 1 spot, after FBCA toppled LSA in a four-set victory, splitting their district series 1-1 on the year.
There are some critical face-offs coming this week, which may very well determine the overall outlook of the upcoming playoffs.
