As week two of Texas High School Football wraps up, there are plenty of great games and plays that happened across the state making waves on social media. One of those plays is coming from none other than Anna Coyotes big victory over Aubrey as time expired. The Anna Coyotes showed their fans-- as well as the rest of the state-- exactly why a game isn't ever over... until it's over!
It's Not Over Until the Final Whistle
Down by one point with not much time on the clock-- or hope left in the Coyotes' fans hearts-- Anna did the unthinkable... a hook and lateral was called and executed perfectly. Junior wide receiver Jacob Emmers got his hands on the ball and ran 85-yards for a touchdown as time expired. The touchdown marks Emmers' fifth touchdown of the season. The Victory
The last-second victory over Aubrey puts Anna 2-0 on the season. Along with Emmers, junior wide receiver Sean Steens, sophomore wide receiver Edward Chumley, and senior wide receiver Jonathan Brown are helping senior quarterback Evan Bullock lead the charge for the Coyotes this season. The Coyotes look to continue their strong start next week as they take on Van Alstyne in front of a home crowd.
