Eric Allen is the next man up at Concordia Lutheran High School.
After serving as offensive coordinator under Willie Amendola the past few seasons, Allen now takes the reins of the Crusaders program.
Before stepping into coaching, Allen played his college football at Oklahoma State University and the University of Montana. His coaching résumé includes stops at Northland Christian School and Cypress Christian School, among others.
VYPE’s Matt Malatesta caught up with Allen as he gears up for spring ball and the next chapter of Crusaders football.

The stars of 2025-26 Kingwood Park Baseball
Matt Powell (VYPE)
No. 8 -- Kingwood Park Panthers (5A)
K-Park’s most recent campaign didn’t just end in the 5A Division II title game—it made a statement.
The Panthers (34-10-1) carved through their competition en route to the program’s second-ever UIL State Tournament appearance, and first since 2018, staking their claim as one of the most formidable ballclubs in Texas. Though Grapevine prevailed 9-5 in the championship, Chris Buechner returns a battle-tested roster primed for big-stage composure.
Senior right-hander Landon Coburn (National Park College commit) set a KPHS single-season record with 11 wins while posting a 2.16 ERA en route to first-team all-district honors. Fellow senior NPC commit Griffin Resendez earned first-team recognition as a DH, hitting just over .300 while providing defensive versatility across the infield and outfield.

Behind the plate, Nate Eveler (Embry-Riddle) led the Panthers with 43 RBIs and a .351 average, while outfielder Logan Bear (Freed-Hardeman) returns after earning 18-5A Newcomer of the Year accolades. Senior Garrett Koshkin (Johns Hopkins) adds a reliable arm to a pitching staff already loaded with options.
With so many weapons back in the mix, Kingwood Park’s Road to Round Rock officially begins now.
