Having dropped only seven games the entire season, the Rockwall-Heath Hawks are on a 19-game win streak ready to continue strong and complete their mission this season. VYPE DFW takes a dive into their season so far and what fans can continue to expect from this squad:
Despite a handful of losses in non-district showdowns, the Hawks sharpened their tools in several victories over the likes of Churchill (14-4), Georgetown (5-4), Carrol (8-0), Johnson (9-1), Amarillo (8-0), Edmond Memorial (8-0), and others en route to district play. Utilizing their level-headed style of play, the team entered district play ready to shut down anyone who stood between them and the playoffs.
Jack Sharp, Jabin Moore, Alex Cooley, Parker Ivy, and others are among the athletes who helped Heath secure an undefeated finish in their district standings (12-0) over several tough opponents like Rockwall, Mesquite, Prosper, Mesquite Horn, Tyler Legacy, and more. As the team headed into playoffs, they set their eyes on the prize-- getting back to the state tournament.
Known to shine in the playoffs already, Rockwall-Heath has what it takes to continue strong as they prepare to take on Mansfield Lake Ridge in round two of the playoffs-- proving their toughness in a two-game series over Rowlett (6-2, 5-0). No stranger to a challenge and certainly no stranger to the playoffs, the Hawks are on a mission to finish the job on a high note this season; something fans can come to expect from this squad.
Be sure to catch round two of playoffs for the Hawks beginning on May 11th!

Facing challenges this season, the Rockwall Yellowjackets have left everything on the field each and every game throughout the year. As they head into the second round of playoffs against Mansfield, VYPE DFW takes a look at the team and what fans can expect:
Beginning their season with incredible victories in pre-season play over the likes of Alamo Heights, Dripping Springs, Westlake, El Paso Americas, and more before heading into their district schedule. In district play, athletes like Jake Overstreet, Tristan Raley, Pearson Riebock, Dylan Cheek, Isaiah Oviedo, and others put in the work that allowed the team to finish second in their district standings with a 7-5 district record. Facing down several talented district opponents, the team posted victories over Royse City, North Forney, Mesquite, Tyler Legacy, and more as they secured a playoff spot.
Once in the playoffs, it took only two games to send Wylie East packing; first in a 5-0 shut-out victory then in an 8-3 victory the following day. Preparing for Mansfield is no easy feat as the Tigers come in boasting a 23-7-1 overall record (11-3 in district play). With the ability to play hard right out of the gate, Mansfield is a tough opponent looking to continue in the playoffs by putting up incredible runs against Rockwall. However, Rockwall has already proved that Jacket Fight Never Dies this season as they have overcome various challenges to showcase a spirit of power on the field.
Check out this series; it's going to be one you don't want to miss! The series begins on May 9th at 7:30 p.m.!
