VYPE Houston's #txhsfb Scoreboard: Regional Semis Scores, State Quarterfinals matchups set

Joshua Koch
Dec 01, 2019

And the teams continue to whittle down.

As we push into the State Quarterfinals next week, teams just have to win two more games to get to AT&T Stadium. That's it. Amazing how fast this has gone.

There were not too many surprises in the Regional Semifinals as the Houston blue blood powers continued to flex their muscles. There were some big rushing performances over the weekend at NRG Stadium, which impressed.

North Shore looked ultra-impressive against Katy with a date with Atascocita set for next week at Sheldon ISD Stadium on Saturday.

See how the rest of the Houston teams, check out some highlights and more.

This post will continue to get updated throughout the evening with information.

Class 6A Division I – Region III

Regional Semifinals: North Shore 56, Katy 35

This marks the second-straight year that Katy has been eliminated by North Shore. The 56 points given up by Katy are the most by a Tigers' team in program history in a playoff game. Dematrius Davis rushed for 283 yards and 3 TDs on 21 carries for North Shore. Katy's leading rusher was Jalen Davis with 44 yards and a score.

Regional Semifinals: Atascocita 42, Katy Tompkins 24

Atascocita's 28-point second quarter ended up being the difference. It also helped that Landen King was pretty much unable to be stopped with his 14 receptions for 175 yards and a score. Atascocita quarterback Brice Matthews threw for 391 yards and three touchdowns.

HOOPS HIERARCHY: NoCro, Little Elm, Heritage Lead VYPE DFW B-Ball Rankings as League Play Intensifies

Matthew Ogle
17 Jan, 2026

As the boys basketball season moves past the midway point of district play, the latest VYPE Dallas-Fort Worth rankings showcase a mix of consistency at the top and rising teams making their mark.

North Crowley has cemented itself as the region’s top team, going 20-3 overall and undefeated in district action. The Panthers’ balance and depth have allowed them to remain steady through both non-district and early league tests. Close on their heels, Little Elm has surged to a 21-2 record, also unblemished in district play, continuing a season that has positioned the Lobos as strong contenders for a district crown.

The calendar has turned, district races have taken shape, and the latest boys basketball rankings reflect a landscape defined less by projection and more by proof. Performances to this point have established clear trends, even as the margin for error continues to narrow heading deeper into league play.

At the top of the 6A landscape, a handful of familiar names continue to justify their billing.
