A Look Back

Last season, the Scots had a great year. Outscoring their opponents 429-279 combined, Highland Park posted a 10-2 overall record (an impressive, undefeated 6-0 in district play). Looking to be as strong as ever and do whatever it takes to make it far, the Scots dominated through preseason following a season opening loss to Southlake Carroll. After a successful preseason, Highland Park defeated the likes of Wylie East, Sherman, Rockwall, and more.

In playoffs, Highland Park defeated New Caney before falling to Frisco Wakeland in a close, hard-fought 29-28 battle to the finish.

The season ahead

There are plenty of returners who will prove to be stars on the field this season. Quarterback Brennan Storer is sure to continue making his mark on the field as he works hard to lead the Scots offense. Other key returners looking to make a splash in the fall include- but are certainly not limited to- Jay Cox and Judge Ellis.

The team is set to open the season against a tough Lewisville squad away before playing Lake Highlands in their first home game of the fall season.

What to Expect

With an early exit in the playoffs last season, there's no doubt that the Scots are wanting to get back on that field and show that they have what it takes to make it even further this season. The team can be expected to practice hard and play even harder in order to dominate through preseason and district play. Expect a further playoff push from this squad in the fall!
