Last year the question was "Who will step in as quarterback for the Dragons?" as fans and media alike wondered what the future had in store for Southlake Carroll football with the early exit of Quinn Ewers. This year the question was "Where will Kaden Anderson commit to?" That question was answered on Monday as Kaden Anderson took to social media to announce his commitment to play college football for the University of Wyoming. VYPE DFW's Shana Willeford reached out to Anderson following his commitment for an exclusive interview regarding his decision to commit to the Cowboys' program.
Last season, Anderson stepped into the starting role with ease- helping lead the Dragons to an undefeated regular season. Anderson went on to lead the Dragons deeper into playoffs before falling to eventual state runner-up Duncanville. During the season, Anderson threw for over 3,000 yards tallying 34 touchdowns. Anderson was named to the 4-6A First Team All-District.

VYPE: What helped you seal your decision to commit?
Anderson: I feel like Wyoming is a place where I can grow and develop- especially with the coaching staff they have. They're amazing.
VYPE: How long have you been playing football? What got you started?
Anderson: I've had a football on my hand for as long as I can remember.
VYPE: Who is your favorite pro athlete and why?
Anderson: Aaron Rodgers because he can extend the play when everything breaks down and he's fun to watch.
VYPE: What's your go-to pregame meal? Routine?
Anderson: I usually just eat whatever the coaches get for us before games.
VYPE: What has been your favorite memory, so far, with Southlake Carroll?
Anderson: Beating Lewisville 52-0. That game was really chippy and fun.
VYPE: What are your goals for this season?
Anderson: Go 1-0 every week. Take it one week at a time and enjoy my last high school season!
VYPE: If you could have dinner with one person (dead or alive) who would it be? What would you hope to talk about?
Anderson: Tom Brady- how he's, like, 40 years old and still getting better!
