V.R. Eaton Eagles vs. Keller Indians -- Friday, October 8 at 7:00 p.m.

Eaton Eagles

The Eaton Eagles have played really well this season against strong competitors. Their only loss came in their last non-district game against Denton Braswell. From then, Eaton has not slowed down as they have defeated Fossil Ridge and school-district rival Trophy Club Byron Nelson so far in district play.

Senior quarterback Tyler Fussell has been making quite the name for himself this season. Fussell has thrown for nearly 1,300 passing yards and 12 touchdowns with a 61% pass completion so far this year. On the ground for Eaton, Fussell has accounted for 247 rushing yards and 8 rushing touchdowns. Other players to keep an eye on for Eaton includes JB Brown who has accounted for seven touchdowns and 716 rushing yards on 89 carries, Charles Whitebear who has four touchdowns and 449 rushing yards to his name, Jayden Platt who has 373 receiving yards and three touchdowns, and Christopher Anderson who has 286 receiving yards and four touchdowns.

Keller Indians

Keller is coming off of a loss to a strong Southlake Carroll squad. With a 5-1 overall record and 1-1 district record, the Indians are going to want to show their strength coming in against a team like V.R. Eaton. The team has posted strong wins against the likes of Keller Central, North Mesquite, and more. There's no doubt that they will be looking to add another district win to their record.

Keller quarterback Tre Guerra has thrown for over 1,000 yards and 13 touchdowns. Amarion Henry has nine touchdowns to his name with 602 receiving yards on 29 catches. Austin Coleman has carried the ball 93 times for 589 yards and seven touchdowns. Keller's offense definitely has what it takes to put up a fight against Eaton on Friday.

What To Expect:

The Keller Indians are strong, but are they strong enough to stand up to the challenge of not only a strong V.R. Eaton offense, but a strong V.R. Eaton defense as well? Eaton playing in their home atmosphere after a big win against Byron Nelson might be too much to handle for Keller on Friday night.
