2026 Ridge Point (TX) three-star offensive lineman Avery Morcho has announced his commitment to Texas A&M.
The 6-foot-6 290lb OL commits to the Aggies over TCU and SMU.
Morcho joins Texas A&M’s number two recruiting class in the country and the culture that coach Mike Elko has brought to the Aggies is what helped land his commitment.
“It was really the culture that coach Elko has brought to Texas A&M,” Morcho said on why he chose the Aggies. “Also the fanbase. I know I’m going to be supported playing for the Aggies and the 12th Man.”
The three-star OL took his visit to Texas A&M June 13th-15th and what the A&M staff showed him while on his visit really helped seal the deal.
“On my visit the whole staff just showed me, my brothers and my whole family a lot of love,” he said. “I also got to talk with coach Elko and coach Cushing about my future and how they will develop me to be a NFL tackle and having the ability to compete for a spot from the jump which made me want to commit.”
Morcho has now locked in his commitment ahead of his senior year and is ready to help lead a very talented Ridge Point team to new heights in 2025 and to ‘Break The Wall’.
“Being with my team practicing, I know we have what it takes to have a big year,” he said. “For me I want to step up as a leader and as we say ‘Break The Wall’ which means us gettin g past the 2nd and 3rd round of the playoffs and take us all the way to State.”
The new Aggie commit and Ridge Point have high expectations as we inch closer to a new Texas high school football season, but before he focuses on that Morcho had one last message for A&M fans.
“Gig’Em! Can’t wait to come home and compete, I’m ready College Station!”
