The stars of 2023-24 Tomball Girls Basketball
Tomball went 21-14 overall a year ago and as coach Michelle Richardson enters her second year at the helm of the program, as she returns four starters from last year's playoff squad.
First-team, all-district pick Mallory Lehmann is back to headline the Cougars roster this Winter, alongside second-teamers Kylee Symons and Danielle Oyakhire.
Other players to watch include Megan Zullo and Theresa Gaetz. The motto for the Cougars this year as they prepare for play in District 15-6A is“All In” as they look to get back into the playoff picture and beyond.
2023-24 Alief Taylor Girls Basketball
Alief Taylor was on the brink of reaching the second round of the playoffs a year ago but fell just short to Clear Brook. Now, the Lions will look to make some noise in the regular season and beyond.
Nataliyah Gray (Jr. F) returns after a phenomenal sophomore season where she averaged 22.4 points and 11.4 rebounds per game. Gray is not alone though...
Fellow junior Madison Bush-Lewis is back after averaging 8.2 points and 3.3 rebounds, while sophomore Shaniya Williams is another starter to watch coming off her freshman campaign.
This team is one to watch with some impressive offensive firepower back on the floor for 2024.
The stars of 2023-24 C.E. King Girls Basketball
The Panthers may have been right on the outside of the playoff picture a year ago in District 21-6A, but that’s what makes them a perfect candidate to be a sleeper in the city this season.
C.E. King went 22-10 a year ago and finished at 6-8 in district play. Three starters return off that team from a year ago – Kennedi Alexander (12 ppg, 6 rpg, 4 spg), Brooklyn Alexander (11.5 ppg, 7 rpg) and Momina Kassim (10.5 ppg, 3 rpg, 3 spg). The Alexander sisters are both verbally committed to the University of Tulsa.
Other players to watch include Heaven Jordan and Trinity Maxwell. Arthur Prevost enters his third season of leading this program (32-31) and has 250 career wins. He could bring the Panthers into the spotlight in 2024.
