One of Mississippi's top defensive backs has committed to Notre Dame football

Southaven defensive back Caleb Offord made a splash on social media by revealing where he'd be attending college.The three-star defensive back took to Twitter on Thursday to announce he had committed to Notre Dame.

Offord, rated the state's 14th overall prospect on 247Sports and 23rd overall on Rivals, also had offers from Kentucky, Louisville, Memphis, Purdue, Arkansas and Duke, among others. "We're really excited for him and his family. Notre Dame is a legacy university and stands out when you discuss all time greats with college football and academics," Southaven head coach Josh Stevenson said.
