Brien Tuffly enters year 28 of leading the Bellaire Cardinals. In that span, he has amassed 681 wins and is in line to get career win No. 700 in 2025. A total of seven starters return for Tuffly off a team that went 24-13 and reached the Area Round of the playoffs.
Xavier University-commit Isabella Rivera and Emory University-commit Lauren Magid return to the mix this year after earning first-team and second-team, all-district honors, respectively.
Other returners include first-team, all-district pick Alessandra Filis and second-teamers Ava Skow, Sophie Donalson, Sophia Alvarado, and Meaghan Lande.
According to Tuffly, the defensive play of the Cardinals will be the key to their success this season.
