The 5-foot-11 athlete is listed as the No. 27 athlete in his position in the state and the No. 44 in the nation. Braxton, a four-star recruit, boasts offers from 28 different college programs including the likes of Baylor, Arkansas, Kansas State, LSU, SMU, TCU and more. His commitment comes slightly three months after making an official visit to the campus.
During his junior season, Braxton recorded three interceptions and 15 pass breakups for Frisco Lone Star's defense. The team allowed only 18 points per game throughout the entire season. On the offensive side of the ball, Braxton tallied 36 catches for 453 yards while scoring two touchdowns.
Braxton is the second cornerback in his recruiting class from the Dallas area who has made their decision to play for Michigan State.
