Since the Year 2000, only five Houston-area teams have hoisted the state volleyball hardware.
That's two decades.
Three of those teams sit a top our VYPE All-Decade Top 10 in The Woodlands (2013-14), Kingwood Park and most recently Fulshear.
Several power programs were close, but just couldn't close the deal.
The most impressive?
The Woodlands won back-to-back state titles under the direction coach Leslie Madison. How about Fulshear winning state this season in it's fourth year of varsity play? Amy Cataline reached state with two different teams -- FB Austin and Seven Lakes.
